The Three Great Associates of Lords Nityananda-Gauranga and Acharyas of Gaurangaism and Gauranga-Krishna Consciousness
Shrila Prabhupada——Shrila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati——Shrila Bhaktivinoda Thakura Gauranga-Kriya-Ashraya-Bhaktiyoga-Mahadiksha is the most effective process in this world of instantly and permanently connecting with the Supreme Cosmic Power Lord Gauranga-Krishna and thus achieving supreme peace, power, strength, happiness, prosperity, harmony, satisfaction, love, compassion, fulfilment, efficiency and confidence in our lives, though the process of directly receiving the two King of all Mantras (the Nityananda and Gauranga Mantra Rajas) from the World Preceptor of Gauranga-Bhaktiyoga Shri Gurudeva Swami Gaurangapada and chanting Them through the toprmost process of Gauranga-Kriya, atleast 1080 times a day. *********************************************************************************************** # Quickly Attain the Topmost Spiritual Realizations unattainable even after practicing all kinds of Yoga combined together for millions of lives! # Get instant and permanent relief from each and every problem in life including all kinds of physical (diseases), emotional, mental stress, external influences etc.! # Solve all your financial problems in life! # Permanent Fulfillment of all desires in life! # Gain complete control over your present and future and change your past too! # Feel the ultimate happiness, peace, satisfaction, harmony and prosperity in life not available by any other means! # Become a great success in whatever you do! # Realize, control & experience the power of your every breath (prana) & second of your life! # Gauranga-Kriya is the topmost welfare activity for your own self and humanity! # Experience the real energy, strength and confidence from within! # Unlimitedly increase your memory, will-power, determination and efficiency! # Ideal for students, working and business class for ensuring maximum output on all levels! # Dovetail yourself in the supremely blissful service of the Cosmic Controller! # Awaken the universal love, kindness and compassion which is lying dormant in your heart! # Instantly illuminate and open all your chakras and raise your kundalini permanently to the topmost perfection and thus always be in harmony with the Purusha!! # Gauranga-Kriya is the culmination and essence of all kinds of Yoga, Maha-Meditations Mahapranayams, Mahakriyas, Mahamudras, Maha-asanas and Mahayajnas in the Vedas! # Give 30 minutes daily for the most powerful Gauranga-Kriya in Kali-yuga, the One and Only Supreme, Free and Permanent Remedy for all the problems of Life! ******************************************************************************************* Mahadiksha Gauranga-Kriya-Ashraya-Bhaktiyoga-Mahadiksha is the transmission of full spiritual power and potency (Mantra-shiksha) by Shri Gurudeva Swami Gaurangapada by the utterance of the supremely powerful Kings of All Mantras in Kali-Yuga, the "Nityananda" Mantra Raja (Haladhara-Balarama-Mantra-Raja) and the "Gauranga" Mantra Raja (Gaura-Gopala Mantra-Raja) in the right ear of the disciple. For those who are not aware of the meaning of "Ashraya Mahadiksha" (in Sanskrit it has many meanings), here it specifically only means the voluntary acceptance of a Great Vow for the betterment of both our material and spiritual lives by accepting some daily spiritual discipline in our lives and shelter (Shiksha-Ashraya) of our Spiritual Preceptor, Swami Gaurangapada. Just like we have to accept a teacher to receive any kind of knowledge in this world similarly through this process of Mahadiksha, we accept (Guru-Ashraya which is the first step in all forms of Yoga, "adau guru-asrayana") Shri Gurudeva Swami Gaurangapada as our instructing Spiritual Master, who is our eternal well-wisher and guide in the achievement of the supreme perfection in our lives on all levels. Gauranga-Kriya-Ashraya- Mahadiksha is the topmost Science of Mantra-Meditation and the most powerful process of quickly achieving complete perfection on all levels through the practice of regularly chanting and hearing the transcendental sound vibration of "Nityananda" and "Gauranga" Mantra Rajas and has absolutely nothing to do with any particular religion, caste or race. Gauranga-Kriya-Bhaktiyoga In order to assimilate, experience and realize the full power and above results of the two imparted King of All Mantras, the disciple has to take a vow to sincerely practice Gauranga-Kriya 1080 times daily. Disciple means one has to follow a fixed spiritual discipline daily. Any science involves that a student has to do his practical assignments daily to achieve success is his or her endeavours. Similarly for this science of Gauranga-Kriya-Ashraya-Bhaktiyoga-Mahadiksha. Mantra means mana (mind) + trayate (process of freeing). Thus a Mantra liberates and frees the mind from all kinds of disturbing thoughts simply by the power of the sound of the Mantra. The King of All Mantras in Kali-Yuga (Iron Age) are the "Nityananda" and "Gauranga" Mantras and that is why They are called as Mantra Raja (Raja means King). These two Mantra Rajas give potency and power to all bonafide Mantras in Kali-Yuga and remove the obstacles and offenses in chanting all other Mantras. So this Mahadiksha can be accepted even by those who have received Diksha into other Mantras also and is actually the beacon for all spiritual paths in Kali-yuga. This Mahadiksha is the only panacea to all the problems of the human society because these two King of All Mantras include everything in creation and there is no other spiritual & material practice required in one's life for achieving everlasting peace and happiness. Gauranga-Kriya Gauranga-Kriya-Mahadiksha is the process of clearly uttering, pronouncing and hearing the "Nityananda" and "Gauranga" Mantra Rajas along with one's breath or without breath 1080 times each daily. When one inhales one should either utter in the mind or loudly (the mouth, lips and tongue should move fully and compulsorily for the clear and proper pronunciation of the Mantra Rajas in the mind even though a sound may or may not be produced externally) "Nityaa" and when one exhales one should utter "nanda" in a similar way. Then during the next inhalation one should utter "Gau" and "raanga" during the exhalation. This cycle of two breaths (two inhalations and two exhalations) accompanied by the chanting of the "Nityananda" and Gauranga" Mantra Rajas once each constitutes one cycle of Gauranga-Kriya (Bhaktiyogic-Kriya) and has to be repeated 1080 times daily or by chanting 10 rounds on a rosary of 108 beads (one can go to the next bead when one completes one cycle of uttering the Mantrarajas once each in two breaths. 1 round = 108 times since there are 108 beads). The counting of 1080 cycles daily can also be done on any counting device or the disciple can request a rosary of 108 beads from Shri Gurudeva Swami Gaurangapada at the time of Mahadiksha. Hi Holiness Swami Gaurangapada - The Founder-World-Preceptor of Gaurangaism and Mahadiksha
Gauranga-Kriya-Mahadiksha is totally free and meant for the single most purpose of delivering the entire universe from all kinds of unhappiness and misery and quickly usher in the 10,000 year Golden Age of ultimate peace, happiness and prosperity in Kali-Yuga (1486 AD - 11486 AD) in it's full glory as prophesied in the Brahma-vaivarta Purana of the Vedas. The above listed benefits and satisfaction are guaranteed if the disciple sincerely, devotedly and uninterruptedly executes the daily chanting of the breath-cycle of Gauranga-Kriya, a minimum of 1080 times daily, as explained above. If the disciple can chant more and more or constantly during the day in addition to these 1080 cycles of the Mantra Rajas, it will even furthur hasten and increase the intensity of the above benefits he or she feels through this Gauranga-Kriya-Mahadiksha. If some disciples cannot chant the "Nityananda" and "Gauranga" Mantra Rajas with their breath due to some reason, they can also simply chant the two Mantra Rajas 1080 times each daily and get the full benefit. The sound vibration of the two Mantra Rajas is the real active principle of this Mahadiksha. The synchronization with the breath is only to help the mind to focus on the Mantra Rajas with more concentration and attention and gradually to make the chanting of the Mantra Rajas continuous throughout the day along with the breath. For those disciples who are not able to come personally and receive the Mahadiksha due to various reasons, Swami Gaurangapada will impart the Mantra Rajas in their right ear on the phone and send them the chanting rosary by post or courier if required. On the completion of the 1080 cycles of Gauranga-Kriya daily, one has to chant three times the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare; Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. Though it is optional, it will also be greatly beneficial and inspirational for the continuation of their practice for all the Gauranga-Kriya-Mahadiksha (GKM) disciples to attend at least one or two Gauranga-Kriya-Bhaktiyoga (GKB) Seminars or Satsangas by Swami Gaurangapada monthly and/or subscribe to egroup and email news about the GKB activities and/or regularly visit the GKB websites to see and hear online Audio / Video GKB Seminars and Satsangas of Swami Gaurangapada. Also the GKM disciples are requested to pass on the great benefit they are feeling by accepting the Mahadiksha by bringing others to GKB Seminars and Satsangs, distributing literature (and video Cds) to others about it in paper form as well as through email and internet, organizing Seminars and Satsangas, and inspiring and encouraging friends, family members, relatives, office people and anyone they know to register and accept this free Mahadiksha and thus bring out the tremendous positive transformation in their lives. Presently when people are so desperately searching for some spiritual alternative, this Mahadiksha into the chanting of these supremely powerful King of all Mantras is Only Perfectly Complete and Independent solution to All the Material and Spiritual Problems in our lives. Daily time required for Gauranga-Kriya One cycle of Gauranga-Kriya means two full breaths: one inhalation and exhalation with the "Nityananda" Mantra Raja and one with the "Gauranga" Mantra Raja as explained above. One cycle of two breaths should take a maximum of 2 seconds since one breath takes 1 second. So 1080 cycles daily means 2160 seconds i.e. 30 to 36 minutes (or one round of the cycle on the rosary i.e. 108 times will take a maximum of 3.6 minutes, so 10 rounds will take 30 to 36 minutes). Anyone and everyone should and can easily give 30 minutes a day for this Gauranga-Kriya to gain all-round perfection and success in life and freedom for all kinds of problems. Those who cannot chant with the breath, can chant 1080 cycles (one cycle of Gauranga-Kriya means simply chanting the "Nityananda" and "Gauranga" Mantra Rajas once) or 10 rounds on a rosary of 108 beads of Gauranga-Kriya softly or audibly without breath synchronization, which will also be equally powerful because hearing the transcendental sound vibration of the Mantra Rajas is the most essential spiritual practice in Gauranga-Kriya-Bhaktiyoga. In such a case they will take only around 15 to minutes to complete the 1080 cycles or 10 rounds. So 1080 cycles or 10 rounds of Gauranga-Kriya can be chanted without breath synchronization by those who want to complete it within 15 or 20 minutes or have less time daily but they still stand to gain the same benefit if they hear the sound vibration of the Mantrarajas very clearly while chanting either within or without. The process of chanting the Gauranga-Kriya on a rosary of 108 beads is that the rosary should be held by the thumb in the middle of the middle finger of the right hand. On one bead, one cycle of the Gauranga-Kriya has to be chanted ("Nityananda" and "Gauranga" Mantra Rajas once each) either with breath or without breath synchronization. One should then pull the rosary inside with the thumb and go to the next bead. When one completes the chanting of Gauranga-Kriya on 108 beads (times) one reaches the main center bead. The Gauranga-Kriya can be chanted by anyone in any number of cycles daily even without or before accepting Mahadiksha. But the process of Mahadiksha tremendously speedens and multiplies the potency of Gauranga-Kriya ensuring the practitioner of rapid and complete success in achieving all the benefits of Gauranga-Kriya-Bhaktiyoga. By receiving the Mahadiksha (Shiksha-Ashraya) from Shri Gurudeva Swami Gaurangapada, the disciples accept him as their instructing Spiritual Master and have to follow their spiritual quest under his guidance and directions. They can inquire about their queries from Shrila Gurudeva Swami Gaurangapada through email or other forums as notified later. The disciples can also put a picture of Gurudeva, Shrila Prabhupada, the Guru Parampara, Lordships Nityananda-Gauranga and Lordships Radha-Krishna in their homes. There are no other compulsory rules or regulations to be followed for this Ashraya-Mahadiksha though the disciples can voluntarily decide to give up the five things unfavourable to Bhaktiyoga. This Ashraya-Mahadiksha is a Purascarya Mahadiksha. Shrila Prabhupada writes in Cc Madhya 15.108: "The purascarya process is the life force by which one is successful in chanting the mantra. Without the life force, one cannot do anything; similarly, without the life force of purascarya-vidhi, no mantra can be perfected." Advanced Mahadikshas There are other higher, advanced and progressive full-fledged stages of the Mahadiksha which are accompanied by the following of the five regulative principles like (GMM) Gauranga-Mantra-Mahadiksha (daily chanting of atleast 1080 cycles or 10 rounds of the Gauranga-Kriya i.e. the "Nityananda" and "Gauranga" Mantra Rajas with or without breath synchronization and 108 times or 1 round of the Maha-mantra), (KMM) Krishna-Mantra- (Harinam)-Mahadiksha (into the daily chanting of at least 16 rounds of the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra apart from the 1080 cycles or 10 rounds of the Gauranga-Kriya: Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare) and (GYMM) Gayatri-Mantra-Mahadiksha (into the additional chanting of seven kinds of Gayatri Mantras three times a day). The above advanced and full-fledged Mahadikshas compulsorily require the disciple to give up five negative activities opposed to Bhaktiyoga which are (1) No intoxication; (2) No meat-eating; (3) No gambling; (4) No illicit-sex and (5) No eating of grain-food on Ekadashi twice in a month. For more information regarding these negative activities not favourable to Gauranga-Kriya-Bhaktiyoga and further positive activities favourable to Gauranga-Kriya-Bhaktiyoga, please click here. For these advanced Mahadikshas, there is also an additional requirement that the following Pancha-tattva Mantra be chanted atleast once before beginning the chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra: "shri krishna chaitanya prabhu nityananda, shri advaita gadadhara shrivasadi gaura-bhakta-vrinda." These advanced Mahadikshas are optional and can be taken by those who can come up to this standard. It will be good though if the GKM disciples can gradually raise themsleves to these advanced levels. The Gauranga-Kriya-Mahadiksha (GKM) is for one and all irrespective of caste, country, race, or religion and no other rules and regulations need to be followed for this particular Mahadiksha except performing Gauranga-Kriya 1080 times (or 10 rounds) a day though some may decide to follow some conducive rules voluntarily. This Mahadiksha will ensure the beginning of complete auspiciousness for the human form of life and for everyone in this world on all levels. Mahadiksha withdrawal If one misses on one day to chant the full allotted 1080 or 10 rounds of Gauranga Kriya, then the disciple should make it up for the missed number by chanting additionally the next day. In case of extreme emergencies or unavoidable situations there can be an exception. Also after accepting the Mahadiksha, if a student or disciple repeatedly feels at any point of time that he or she will not be able to maintain the daily practice or does not want to continue this fixed daily practice of 1080 or 10 rounds of Gauranga-Kriya, then the disciple can send an email or snailmail to the below addresses requesting for the withdrawal of the Gauranga-Kriya-Mahadiksha.This request will be accepted by Shri Gurudeva Swami Gaurangapada without any questions. Gauranga-Kriya-Bhaktiyoga-Ashraya-Mahadiksha is a purely voluntarily accepted process by the student or disciple for his or her own overall upliftment and thus cannot be forced on anyone. Every disciple is free to choose to practice it for the rest of their lives for their own ultimate benefit or withdraw from the Mahadiksha practice at any point of time by directly informing Shri Gurudeva Swami Gaurangapada. One can still keep on chanting Gauranga-Kriya whenever one wants even after withdrawing from the Mahadiksha and still keep on getting benefit. THE IMPORTANCE AND URGENCY OF ACCEPTING MAHADIKSHA FROM THE BONAFIDE VAISHNAVA GURU "Adau Gurvasrayam" (Bhakti-Rasamrita-Sindhu) "The first and foremost primary step in spiritual life is to accept Ashraya (Shelter) of a bonafide Spiritual Master, without which spiritual life cannot exist." asraya laiya bhaje, ta're krsna nahi tyaje, ara saba mare akarana Shrila Narottama Dasa Thakura sings in his Prathana: "Those who worship Lord Shri Gauranga-Krishna by taking Ashraya (shelter) of the bonafide Vaishnava Guru will never be forsaken by the Lord. The Lord will personally take care of them and accept them in His spiritual family. The others who do not take Guru-Ashraya will have to die and take birth again again in the 8.4 million species of life." In the Padma Purana it is stated: sampradaya-vihina ye, mantras te nisphala matah; atah kalau bhavisyanti, catvarah sampradayinah. sri-brahma-rudra-sanaka, vaisnavah ksiti-pavanah; catvaras te kalau bhavya, hy utkale purusottamat. ramnujam srih svi-cakre, madhvacaryam caturmukhah; sri-visnu-svaminam rudro, nimbadityam catuhsanah. "Unless one is initiated by a bona-fide spiritual master in a bonafide and authentic disciplic succession, the mantra he or she might have received is without any effect. For this reason the Lord will reveal the four authorized Vaisnava disciplic successions, inaugurated by Lord Brahma, Laksmi-devi, Lord Siva, and the four Kumaras. The message of these four sampradayas will be spread by the mercy of Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu from the holy place of Jagannatha Puri in Orissa and thus purify the entire earth during the age of Kali. Anyone accepting initiation outside these four sampradayas is cheating himself and others. Any self-proclaimed guru outside these four sampradayas is also not bonafide and is also cheating himself and others. Lord Brahma chose Madhvacarya to represent his disciplic succession. In the same way Laksmi-devi chose Ramanujacarya, Lord Siva chose Visnu Svami, and the four Kumaras chose Nimbaditya." Lord Brahma instructs Srila Narada in the Skanda Purana, Kartika-Mahatmya: te narah pasavo loke, kim tesam jivane phalam; yair na labdha harer diksa, narcito va janardanah. "Unfortunate people do not accept diksa from a bonafide Vaisnava guru in any of these four sampradayas and thus they remain unqualified to worship Lord Krsna. Such people are simply like animals since there is no higher purpose for their human form of life." tapasvinah karma nistha, sresthaste vai nara bhuvi; prapta yaistu harer diksa sarva dukha vimocani. "Those persons who accept diksa from a bonafide Vaisnava spiritual master from any of these four sampradayas are completely delivered from all the miseries of material existence. In this world, they become superior even to the great ascetics and karma-nistha yogis." The Visnu-yamala states: adiksitasya vamoru krtam sarvam nirarthakam; pasu-yonim avapnoti diksa-virahito janah. "Unless one is initiated by a bona fide spiritual master from any of the above four sampradayas, all his devotional activities are useless. A person who is not properly initiated in any of these four authorized Vaisnava sampradayas will surely descend again into the animal species in his next life." divyam jnanam yato dadyat kuryat papasya sanksayam; tasmat dikseti sa prokta desikais tattva-kovidaih. "Diksa is the process by which one can awaken his transcendental knowledge and vanquish all reactions caused by sinful activity. A person expert in the study of the revealed scriptures knows this process as diksa." The complete knowledge of the Name, Form, Qualities, Pastimes, Abode and Associates of Lorships Nityananda-Gauranga and Lorships Radha-Krishna is transmitted to disciple by the guru in the seed form of the Nityananda, Gauranga Mantra Rajas and the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra uttered by the guru in the ear of the disciple at the time of the Mahadiksa. Visnu-yamala continues: ato gurum pranamyaivam sarva-svam vinivedya ca; grhniyad vaisnavam mantram diksa-purvam vidhanatah. "That is why the prime duty of every human being to surrender to a bona fide Vaisnava spiritual master in any of the four authorized sampradayas. Giving him everything - body, mind and intelligence - one must take Vaisnava initiation from him." The Bhakti-sandarbha (298) gives the following quotation from the Tattva-sagara: yatha kancanatam yati kamsyam rasa-vidhanatah; tatha diksa-vidhanena dvijatvam jayate nrnam. "By chemical manipulation, bell metal is turned into gold when touched by mercury; similarly, when a person is properly initiated by a bonafide spiritual master, he or she acquires the qualities of a brahmana." Bhaktiratna Sadhu Swami Gaurangapada This Sampradaya is most successful in preaching the message of the Lord worldwide because please note that the Lord has come two times in this Sampradaya at 1 and 22. Thus it is the most powerful Sampradaya in Kali-Yuga. Through the process of Mahadiksha, the disciple gets connected to this mercy flowing in this Sampradaya. The Vedas say: yo mantrah sa guruh saksat, yo guruh sa harih svayam; guru yasya bhavet tustas, tasya tusto harih svayam. "The mantras given by the Guru itself act as the Guru, and the Guru is a direct manifestation of Lord Hari. If one pleases the Guru, he directly pleases Lord Hari." Through the medium of the Nityananda and Gauranga Mantra Rajas, the spiritual master conveys his internal mood of service to Lord Shri Shri Nityananda-Gauranga. The disciple will not perceive this immediately, but he will gradually understand everything by Guru-bhakti, Seva and Chanting of the given mantras. The mantras, therefore, are the direct representation of the spiritual master. Also the mantras uttered by the Guru in the right-ear of the disciple contain the complete knowledge of Name, Form, Qualities, Pastimes, Associates and Abode of Lordships Nityananda-Gauranga and Lorships Radha-Krishna in the seed form. By continuous chanting by the disciple of the Mantra Rajas, the seed will gradually blossom in one's heart and reveal to one his or her own constitutional position in relationship with the Lord in the spiritual world. The Vedic mantras are eternal representations of God in the form of sound, shabda brahma. By repetition of a particular mantra under authorized guidance a purified person can realize the spiritual purpose of the mantra. The Narada-pancaratra, Hari-bhakti-sudhodaya, Hari-bhakti-vilasa, and many other scriptures explain that the potency of a mantra manifests only when it is received from a bona fide spiritual master and recited without impurities. Although one may see mantras written in books by the previous acaryas, and then try to chant them, these mantras will produce results only when received through the process of diksa. Mantras are like seeds in that they contain vast potencies within them, but they need outside factors to manifest their power. The tiny seed of a banyan tree contains the form of a huge, full-grown tree. Placing the seed directly into the ground, however, will not produce a tree. But if a sparrow eats the seed and passes it on the ground with its stool, then a majestic banyan will grow forth. The banyan seed must be processed in this way to give results. Similarly, if one begins chanting a mantra after randomly hearing or reading it in a book, it will not produce Gauranga-Krishna-prema. But if one properly receives the mantra by hearing from the Guru, then that mantra, which is coated with the Guru's love, will produce love in the heart of the sincere disciple. "A mantra is purified when chanted with proper knowledge." (SB 11.24.32) In the purport to this verse Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura says, "A mantra becomes purified when it issues from the mouth of a Sad-guru. The bona fide spiritual master instructs the disciple in the method, meaning and ultimate purpose of the mantra." "It is confidential in this sense: one may receive a published mantra anywhere, but unless it is accepted through the chain of disciplic succession, the mantra does not act. It is said by authoritative sources that any mantra chanted without having been received from the disciplic succession has no efficacy." (SB 4.8.53 p.) "Mantras and the process of devotional service have special power, provided they are received from the authorized person." (SB 8.16.24 p.) The Nityananda and Gauranga Mantras have more effect when received from the Guru. The hearts of pure devotees are compared to gem-filled mountains of Nityananda-Gauranga and Radha-Krishna prema; rivers of madhurya-rasa rush down from these mountains to drown anyone who accepts their mercy. The holy name chanted by an advanced devotee is saturated with Nityananda-Gauranga-prema. When this prema-nama is poured into the ear of the eager disciple, it nourishes the tiny creeper of devotion and eventually produces the nectarean fruit of prema-bhakti. The pure sound vibration from a realized guru of the Nityananda and Gauranga Mantra Rajas works like a forest fire to burn up all the sins and impurities within the mind and heart of the disciple. When Krishna and Arjuna were traveling on a chariot through the covering of the universe, the Lord used His Sudarsana cakra to penetrate the dense and fearful layers. In the same way, the Nityananda and Gauranga Mantra Rajas received from the Guru act like a chakra to burn away all the dark coverings of a sadhaka's heart and clear the path to prema. The effect of hearing a mantra from an advanced, empowered devotee Guru also depends on the intensity of the sadhaka 's hankering for perfection in pure love for Lordships Nityananda- Gauranga and Lorships Radha-Krishna. Thus when the disciple hears the mantras from his realized Guru with great faith and begins chanting the mantras, he or she will gradually realize the spiritual meaning behind those mantras and eventually see the Lord face to face. The main thing is that the Guru utters the 'Nityananda' Mantra Raja and 'Gauranga' Mantra ] Raja in the right ear of the disciple and transmits and potency of the Mantra Rajas is seed form. The Guru will also transmit and energy of the mantras by chanting on the beads for the disciple. __________________________________________________________________________ Shrila Prabhupada Quotations Prabhupada: "Nitai-Gauranga and Hare Krsna, there is no difference. Nitai-Gauranga is also nice. Whatever he finds convenient, let him chant." (Shrila Prabhupada's Room Conversation with Yoga Student regarding Japa) Cc Madhya 24.330: "The spiritual master has to select a mantra for his disciple according to the disciple’s ability to chant different mantras." (Cc Adi 8.31 purp)"A neophyte student who is not sufficiently educated or enlightened should not indulge in the worship of Sri Radha and Krsna or the chanting of the Hare Krsna mantra. Even if he does so, he cannot get the desired result. One should therefore chant the names of Nitai-Gaura and worship Them without false prestige. In the beginning one should *** very regularly *** chant Sri Gaurasundara's holy name and then chant the holy name of Lord Nityananda. Thus one's heart will be cleansed of impure desires for material enjoyment. Then one can approach Vrndavana-dhama to worship Lord Krsna." "[...]Vaisnavas consider Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu nondifferent from Radha-Krsna (sri-krsna-caitanya radha-krsna nahe anya). Therefore *ONE WHO CHANTS THE MANTRA "GAURANGA" and ONE WHO CHANTS THE NAMES OF RADHA AND KRSNA ARE ON THE SAME LEVEL." (Srila Prabhupada in Cc Antya-lila 2.31 purport) "By his (Shrila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura Prabhupada's) strong desire, the holy name of Gauranga will first spread throughout all the countries of the Western world. Then in all the cities, towns, and villages on the earth, from all the oceans, seas, rivers, and streams, everyone will chant the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra." (on Jaladuta, September 13, 1965) "The expert devotees also can discover novel ways and means to convert the nondevotees in terms of particular time and circumstance. Devotional service is dynamic activity, and the expert devotees can find out competent means to inject it into the dull brains of the materialistic population. Such transcendental activities of the devotees for the service of the Lord can bring a new order of life to the foolish society of materialistic men." (SB 1.5.16 purport) "Here is an important point. Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu wanted to invent a way to capture the Mayavadis and others who did not take interest in the Krsna consciousness movement. This is the symptom of an acarya. An acarya who comes for the service of the Lord cannot be expected to conform to a stereotype, for he must find the ways and means by which Krsna consciousness may be spread." (Shrila Prabhupada in Cc Adi 7.31-32 purport) "Devotees of the Supreme Lord are not controlled by the scriptures since their activities are congenial to the Divine Wisdom. Therefore, when the advanced devotees ordain any new arrangements, they should be agreed as the religious code, even if they are not found in the scriptural dictums of the previous sages. This is also agreed by Manu."
